handbag's got The X Factor - Lady Gaga Vs Queen week
20:15 20:33: Finally, the X Factor starts after a 'technical issue' in the studios. Instead, we've been treated to some of the highlights from this year's series. Watching Twitter is hilarious right now. The general public are not happy.
20:38: Two shoes tell us that being given the opportunity to get back in the competition, thanks to Frankie Cocozza's shock departure, is 'totes emosh' We hope they come back in, just for those gems!
20:40: Excellent, first up is Kitty Brucknell! This must be her week. But, oh no! Someone else is singing Kitty's favourite Lady Gaga song. And she's crying about it. "I was going to sing Born This Way, but unfortunately I can't because someone else is singing it. Which is fine," says Kitty Brucknell as she pours arsenic into Misha B's tea.
Kitty sings Queen's Don't Stop Me Now, brilliant song, and she comes out on a black chariot, with human horses. Kelly Rowland has a dig about all the pyrotechnics. But Kitty gets some great feedback.
20:54: Craig Carlton is singing Lady Gaga's Paparazzi. Gary's given him a pep talk this week and told him that he needs to show the audience what a Craig Colton track would sound like. It's really good, and he's an amazing singer, but we kind of wish he had danced. Louis Walsh tells him that he still reminds him of a young Gary Barlow.
strong>21:05:Pick N' MixLittle Mix are so lovely. They're telling us how they didn't think they'd be in the competition after the first week. They're singing a mash up of Queen's Radio Gaga and Lady Gaga's telephone. Ah-maz-ing. The girls totally rocked. Kelly Rowland told them they need to tighten up their harmonies, and got booed. Gary Barlow said he was a bit bored, and then asked the girls if they wanted to do something different. Before Tulisa rallied up pretty much everyone in England to vote for the girls.
There's talk on Twitter that someone has already won the vote. We won't tell you who. We don't want to ruin it for you. But we'll tell you if that's true. Dermot's just told us that the lines are closed, so perhaps the rumours are true and the news has broken on Twitter first!
21:16: It's 'Ireland's little sweetheart' according to Kelly Rowland, although we think Janet Devlin could be a secret diva. After last week's Michael Jackson performance didn't go so well, Janet's back to her roots and is singing a stripped-back version of Queen's Somebody To Love. It's stunning.
Gary Barlow says what we're all thinking though, it was a bit boring. Dermot pulls the judges up on this though, because last week she was told that she needed to stick to what she knows best. Louis reckons Gary feels threatened by Janet Devlin and that's why he's sticking the knife in.
21:23:Marcus Collins treats us to a swing version of Queen's Another One Bites The Dust. All the judges argue that Marcus' performances are getting a bit boring. Oh dear, the contestants don't seem to be able to win this year do they?
20:35:Misha B does an amazing rendition of Lady Gaga's Born This Way, having managed to dodge Kitty's sabotage attempts. Getting great feedback from all the judges, with Louis telling her she reminds him of a young Chaka Khan.
And so, the moment we've all been waiting for since, ahem, Thursday. Who's going to be returning to the show? It's Amelia Lily! The news did actually break on Twitter earlier, so it wasn't as shocking as we thought it would be! Fittingly singing Queen's The Show Must Go On, we're wondering why Kelly got rid of her in the first place? It was dramatic, intense, and really well done.
So, what did you think? Did the right person come back into the competition? Do you think it's fair that she's there? Who floated your boat this week?
