The Situation - why wouldn't you want to associate with him?

When Jersey Shore's Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino was hired as the face of a fake tan company the other week, he was excited to be linked with such a "classy" product and business.

Now another company is using him to get press - the much better known Abercrombie and Fitch. But they've offered him a "substantial payment" to NOT wear their clothes.

His frequent ab-flashing means that the waistband of his preferred pants are often on display… and they're from Abercrombie. They stated:

"We understand that [Jersey Shore] is for entertainment purposes, but believe this association is contrary to the aspirational nature of our brand, and may be distressing to many of our fans."

Distressing? Really? Er… there are much worse things in the world for us to be distressed over. Anyway, Mike took to Twitter to say:

"Hmmm if They Don't Want Us To Wear Those Clothes Why Make GTL Shirts."

Wait, did The Situation just assess the situation correctly, albeit with some bizarre capital letter habit? I'm feeling a little bit faint…

Anyway, looks like the joke's on the clothing label as CNN reported that they suffered a 10% dip in stock after their negotiation with Mike went public.

I think we've all learned a valuable lesson - keep The Situation on your side.
