Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson have released a statement confirming they have separated. Earlier this month, rumours began to spread that the couple, who married in September 2008 after a six-month engagement, were having marriage problems as a result of their conflicting work schedules. While they made no comment on the rumours at the time, they have no confirmed their marriage is over.
"After long and careful consideration on both our parts, we've decided to end our marriage,” the couple’s statement read. "We entered our relationship with love and it's with love and kindness we leave it. While privacy isn't expected, it's certainly appreciated."
