Rihanna discusses Brown attack

Rihanna has discussed her split from Chris Brown, and called the situation a “wake-up call”. Last year, Brown was arrested after beating up Rihanna as the pair travelled to a pre-Grammy Awards party in Los Angeles. The pair split shortly after and Rihanna has admitted that although the public split was hard to deal with, she feels stronger having come through it.
"All this terrible stuff they say to you, it breaks you down. [But] once you're back on your feet - if you ever make it back on your feet - that's the ultimate achievement," she told Marie Claire magazine. "God has a crazy way of working, and sometimes when stuff happens you feel like, 'What did I do to deserve this? Why was it backfiring on me?'
"I needed that wake-up call in my life,” she added. “I needed a turning point, and that's what God was giving to me."
