Price blocks Reid’s jungle appearance

Katie Price stopped Alex Reid from appearing in the new series of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here, insiders have told Closer magazine. Price herself appeared in two series of the show, first in 2004 and then again in 2009, but wasn’t happy when producers expressed an interest in her husband appearing in this year’s show, a source claims.
"Katie told Alex that the producers of I'm A Celebrity... weren't interested in having him on the show, but then Alex found out from an industry insider that they were interested... Katie had vetoed it without telling him about it,” an insider said. "When Alex confronted Katie she simply told him she couldn't stand seeing him on TV with other girls. Alex was really upset about it - he still might go into the jungle if the offer still stands, but of course that would mean provoking yet another row, which at the moment he just doesn't have the energy for."
Meanwhile, Heat magazine sources say Price has also banned Alex from writing his own autobiography, despite the fact she has just released her fourth.
"Jordan's always been a control freak, but as her world caves in, she's getting worse... She's angry that Alex keeps pushing the issue of writing his own book,” a source claimed. "He needs to make money, but she's totally against it. She told him maybe he can in a few years, but certainly not in the near future, and not while hers is freshly out. She's really sidelining Alex."
