Oscar winners 2011
British film The King's Speech has won the Oscar for Best Picture at the Oscars 2011, with Colin Firth picking up Best Actor. The movie also picked up Best Director for Tom Hooper and Best Original Screenplay.
The other big winners were Inception, which snapped up most of the technical Oscars, The Social Network and Toy Story 3.
It was a night of few surprises, with all the favourites taking home the gongs. Perhaps in anticipation, presenter James Franco appeared dressed in drag. His co-host, Anne Hathaway, quipped to the Hollywood glitterati that this was the 'young and trendy Oscars'. At 28, she is the youngest presenter in Academy Awards history.
