Ahh, kids today. 18th birthday presents should be special, that's for sure, but I'm not sure One Direction have quite got the idea right…
Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne and Zayn Malik got their pocket money together and decided to buy bandmate Niall Horan a life-size waxwork of Barack Obama.
Well… it's different?
Liam told The Sun:
"Niall is obsessed with Barack Obama. He knows everything about him. We looked around for the waxwork for ages. It's a lifesize model and it's heavy.
"We had it made and delivered. We all chipped in for it. He sits on a bench in our flat.
"Niall loves it. It was a fair bit of money but I can't say as we don't want Niall to know."
It seems they might have started something of an addiction now though, as Niall just wants more:
"It's such a good present, I love Obama. Who knows, maybe next year I'll get Michelle too."
Er… cut him off now. Before the One Direction flat is filled with scary wax people…
