Natalie Portman reveals son's name

Well, this is more normal than could've been expected (if you were expecting Black Swan) - Natalie Portman has reportedly called her new son Alef.
According to Israeli TV show Good Evening With Guy Pines, the Oscar winner is honouring her Jewish roots by naming the boy after the first letter of the Israeli alphabet.
I've done a bit of my own research (typing it into Google) and can reveal that the name represents the "oneness of God" and the element of air. More meaningful than Brooklyn or Apple then, but what else would you expect from fancy-pants Portman?
The new-mum was born in Jerusalem (her given name was actually Natalie Hershlag), while fiance Benjamin Millepied is French, so we take it the compromise will be Monsieur Alef Millepied. Or just Al for short.
Honestly, I really was hoping she'd honour her film roots by going for Leon, though.
