Middleton given Harry’s ring?

Prince William proposed to Kate Middleton with Princess Diana’s sapphire engagement ring which actually belonged to Prince Harry, insiders have told Popeater. After Diana died in 1997, Prince Charles took William and Harry to their mother’s home at Kensington Palace so the boys could choose mementos. William chose the 18K yellow gold Cartier Tank Francaise watch that Diana used to teach him the time while Harry selected his mum’s oval sapphire engagement ring. However, insiders say Harry was happy to let his brother have the ring.
“Harry was happy to give the ring to his brother,” a source explained. “He loves William and thinks it’s only right that one day the woman sitting next to the King will be wearing his mother’s ring. That’s the way Diana would have wanted it.”
