Matthew Perry has fought a well-publicised addiction to prescription pills and alcohol over the past 15 years, and last night he announced his decision to go back to a rehab clinic to further his recovery.
Since his TV show Mr Sunshine aired in the States he's been firmly back in the public eye across the pond. He stars alongside Allison Janney in the comedy, which ended its first series a couple of months ago.
People reports that he hasn't relapsed at all, but he just wants to focus on his recovery.
In a statement he showed his famous wry humour, saying, "I'm making plans to go away for a month to focus on my sobriety and to continue my life in recovery.
"Please enjoy making fun of me on the World Wide Web."
This marks his third time in a rehab clinic, the last time was a decade ago, and his first was in 1997.
We wish Matthew the best in his recovery.
