She's behind bars… but for how long?
It's just been announced that Lindsay Lohan checked into jail in California at 8.48pm (PST) last night to start serving the 30 day jail sentence that she received for repeatedly violating her probation.
TMZ reports that due to overcrowding she's pretty unlikely to stay in there for long, probably being released within hours of her arrival due to overcrowding - the same reason she got to carry out her last sentence at her home.
A rep for the LA County Sheriff, Steve Whitmore, told them that she might have to spend the whole night in jail depending on how many other inmates are checking out at the same time.
Meanwhile, last week she tried to make an impression on some big Hollywood types - remember, she's an actress - by crashing the J. Edgar party for Leonardo DiCaprio and Clint Eastwood after its LA premiere.
Er… what kind of impression are you trying to make exactly, LiLo?
The New York Post says that she caused such a scene that the guests "felt uncomfortable", and that Lindsay was saying "I have to go and see Leo".
Alas, she never got to see him, as he was surrounded by pals and security.
Still, if all you have to do to get into one of these parties is kick up a fuss, I know what I'm doing next time I'm in LA… who's with me?
