Kim Kardashian files for divorce
And the award for the shortest celebrity wedding goes to, Kim Kardashian, who is divorcing her NBA-star husband Kris Humphries after just 72 days, according to reports from the US. OK, it's not officially Kim Kardashian, it's probably more likely Britney Spears and Jason Alexander, that just sounded more dramatic.
Showbiz website TMZ is reporting that the TV star is seeking divorce on the grounds of 'irreconcilable differences' and Ryan Seacrest, the producer of Keeping Up With The Kardashians tweeted this morning, 'Yes @kimkardashian is filing for divorce this morning. I touched base with her, getting a statement in just a few mins.'
Rumours that the couple's relationship had hit the rocks began surfacing earlier this month with a source telling The Mail Online, "I don't know when they'll annouce the split or why they got married in the first place but they are done.'
'They are divorcing. Kim has been staying in a New York hotel which Kris has failed to visit.'
The pair both signed a prenuptial agreement before the marriage, which netted them a reported $18million thanks to magazine deals, TV coverage and endorsements.
This is Kim's second divorce. She eloped with Las Vegas music producer Damon Thomas, who's 10 years her senior, when she was just 19, but they divorced in 2004 after four years together.
