Katy & Russell to star in film together?

It was just last week that Russell Brand was showing how under the thumb/devoted he is by revealing that he'd only accept a film role in Rock of Ages if his wife approved, telling Entertainment Weekly:
"I have to make sure I see me wife (sic) enough, but if we can work out the schedule, then yeah, I want to do it. Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin, rock music of the '80s - you can't go wrong. And I've already got the hair. I am way ahead of them on that account."
WELL, it looks like Katy Perry might have set ONE condition - that she'd only let him do it if she could have a role too.
Talking to the Daily Star, an alleged film insider (so probably the catering man) said:
"Once we knew we had Russell’s interest we suggested that Katy might like to appear in the film as well, and she said she would love to.
"The contracts are being drawn up now but we are confident that once shooting starts in Miami in May that she will drop by in between her Teenage Dream tour.”
Yeah, to keep an eye on him, right?
Joke as I may, but the couple obviously aren't that clingy - Brand was solo when he attended the Kids Choice Awards on Saturday night in LA. Then again, he did get 'slimed' so Perry did well to give that bash a wide berth.
