Katie Price has reportedly kicked Alex Reid out of their home and offered him £1million to walk away from the marriage in silence.
Grab your hankies, there's yet another update in the Katie Price and Alex Reid saga, the saddest celebrity split since, erm, Katie Price and Peter Andre.
Although the long-awaited joint-statement is still on hold, the glamour model's hard-working spokesperson has just revealed:
"Katie has asked Alex to leave the family home so they both have some space and hopes he respects that.
"It is true Alex and Kate discussed a statement last week. Alex asked Katie not to release it as he wanted more time to discuss matters and come to
terms with their situation."
Meanwhile, a source has quoted Price in the News of the World as having said:
"'I [initially] loved the fact he wasn't in my world. But as soon as he got to my world he wanted to be in it himself. He wanted to become a TV personality like me, a magazine columnist like me and advertise clothes like me. I hated that.
"I convinced myself I was in love with him but looking back I probably wasn't. It was a mistake. I need him out of my house and out of my life for good.
"It's over. There is no way we are going to work this out."
We haven't heard from Reid yet, but don't expect him to stay quiet for long; according to the Daily Star, Jordan tried to buy his silence for £1m, although her scheme backfired when the cage fighter refused the cash.
Talking to the paper, a source said:
"Katie has offered Alex a settlement to keep his mouth shut.
"She wants to be able to buy his silence and she wants to be able to write about him and use him while he sits tight with his arms folded.
"She is filming it all, she is making money off the split. Money is everything to her.
"But the thing is, Alex has woken up to what is going on.
"He is prepared to say ‘F**k you, Katie!’ and go his own way."
Finally. Mind you, I thought they were split up for good when she dumped him on live TV in 2009.
