Kate Moss is the second bride-to-be this year who designers are no
doubt desperate to dress. But the 37-year-old supermodel, who has enjoyed success with her own Topshop range, has reportedly
rejected the idea of a haute couture gown and is instead creating her
own dress for her upcoming wedding with long-term beau Jamie Hince.
Moss' close friend Vivienne Westwood told reporters about
the star's plans. When asked if she had been approached to create Moss's dress, the 70-year-old style icon, who's known the model for 15
years, told the MailOnline: "I think shes designing it herself. She has done her own fashion
range and she knows about clothes. She knows what she is doing, she
doesnt need my help.
"Kate is a mate. Ive known her for years and Im really happy for her."
Moss is apparently set to exchange vows with The Kills guitarist,
40-year-old Hince, on 2 July. Lila Grace, her daughter from a previous
relationship with publisher Jefferson Hack, is set to be
bridesmaid.
The musician popped the question while the couple were in bed
presenting Moss with an exact replica of the ring that belonged to
American novelist F Scott Fitzgerald's party-centric wife Zelda and reportedly
costing over £10,000.
No further details on where Moss and Hince will tie the knot have been released, although
it's been rumoured that the couple are considering the Cotswolds, where
the model has a country retreat.
