Johnny Depp: Angelina Jolie was “normal”
Johnny Depp has revealed that he was surprised to find that Angelina Jolie was “normal” while working with her on The Tourist.
Following rumours that Johnny’s partner Vanessa Paradis was often on set to keep an eye on the pair, Johnny has told Vanity Fair magazine that Angelina was a “real pleasant surprise”.
“You don’t know what she might be like – if she has any sense of humour at all,” Johnny said. He added, “I was so pleased to find that she is incredibly normal and has a wonderfully kind of dark, perverse sense of humour.”
And Johnny was quick to point out that he wouldn’t want to trade lives with Angelina and her partner Brad Pitt anytime soon. "Poor thing, dogged by paparazzi, her and her husband, Brad... all their kids,” he said. “There are times when you see how ridiculous this life is, how ludicrous it is, you know, leaving your house every morning and being followed by paparazzi."
