Today's burning question: Should singers enjoy their careers before becoming talent show coaches?
There's no doubting that Jessie J has a brilliant voice, however we can't help but feel that her taking a job as a coach on the BBC's The Voice, which is being tipped as the BBC's answer to The X Factor, is a little bit premature.
The 23 year-old singer first hit our radar at the beginning of 2011 when she won the Brits Critics' Choice Award and started releasing chart-topping singles like Do It Luke A Dude and Price Tag.
Jessie has now been asked to be one of four stars who will mentor the contestants on The BBC's new talent show, The Voice UK.
Not lacking in experience, the singer appeared on The X Factor over the weekend, to help X Factor Judge Tulisa Contostavlos choose who she'd be taking through to the X Factor live shows. And it appears Jessie did a good job, as Twitter fans praised her down to earth attitude.
The Voice, which is already really sucessful in the US, will air on BBC1 in the spring, and is based purely on the contestants' voices - as there are 'blind' auditions.
BBC1 controller Danny Cohen said, "Jessie J is going to be an amazing coach on The Voice UK. She's a massive young star with a strong personality, and her recent Mobo nominations are testament to her musical and creative ability.
But the US version of the show has featured Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green, both of whom have been in the industry for almost twenty years.
We want to know what you think? Are the judges and mentors on talent programmes getting ridculously young, or is it just us? Does Jessie deserve her place?
