Cry him a river (sorry)! Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel have confirmed that they've parted ways after four years together.
The couple's spokespeople released a joint statement on their behalf, which reads, "Addressing the media speculation regarding Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake’s relationship, we are confirming that they mutually have decided to part ways. The two remain friends and continue to hold the highest level of love and respect for each other."
Meanwhile a source has told usmagazine.com, "It was mutual. Jessica is doing well."
The 29-year-old A Team actress and the 30-year-old singer-turned-actor began dating back in January 2007, but were constantly rumoured to have split up.
Now it's being claimed that the pair finally ended their relationship after Biel threw a rather "awkward" birthday bash to celebrate the Social Network star's 30th. According to reports, Biel made a gushing speech about Timberlake in front of guests which is said to have embarrassed him.
A source has been telling the mailonline that the starlet became overcome with emotion when she toasted Timberlake and began welling up when she discussed their first date and how she practically stalked him before they went out.
Apparently Biel recalled how they exchanged numbers on a night out in 2007 but when Timberlake failed to call, she began driving towards his house.
She reportedly joked about how she felt like a stalker, but added he did eventually call and the rest was history.
Quite literally now.
Biel is then said to have professed her love for Timberlake before going on about how much he meant to her.
In a recent interview with fashion bible Vogue, she had also gushed about her romance with the actor, enthusing, "It's the most precious thing that I have in my life, and I care so much about it that I don't care about what anyone else says or thinks."
But when Biel had finished her heartfelt speech, Timberlake replied with, "Yeah b*tches!", and the source added, "It was really awkward. Justin's reaction was almost disrespectful. He just laughed it off."
Cringe!
Reports a few months ago claimed the pair split following allegations of Timberlake's infidelity. Timberlake's spokesperson swiftly denied the accusation.
