Jennifer Aniston threw Brad Pitt out
It was the story that dominated headlines in the mid 2000s, and now we’re one step closer to discovering what happened when Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston split up.
Aaron Milchan, who produced Mr and Mrs Smith, admits in his book about his life as a producer and businessman, called Confidential: The Life of Secret Agent Turned Hollywood Tycoon, that Jennifer Aniston threw Brad Pitt out as soon as she realised he was in love with Angelina Jolie.
“At first, Jen didn’t believe he was involved with Angelina. She started asking around but no one would tell her anything because they were loyal to Brad, so she asked him point blank. He denied it,’ Milchan writes.
The pair then went on a couple’s holiday with pals Courteney Cox and David Arquette, but the pressure was too much for Brad and he confessed.
“He eventually admitted he was in love with Angelina. Jen was furious and threw him out,” Brad reportedly only returned home to collect his things before moving into Milchan’s LA home.
“Brad drove each day to set, and everywhere else, on a motorcycle and he wore a wraparound helmet with a tinted visor so no one would recognise him. He stayed with me for the duration of filming,” writes the Producer.
Milchan also says that he originally cast Pitt against Nicole Kidman for the role of Mr Smith, but Brad pulled out because of a lack of chemistry but he was already infatuated with Angelina and so was all for her being cast as the female lead.
