The Q Awards took place today in central London, with the guest list and winners generally being exactly who you'd expect.

U2 (yawn) picked up a trophy for being the best band of the past 25 years - obviously the Steps comeback has passed them by. Coldplay (double yawn) picked up the award for being the best band in the world today.

Gary Barlow won the classic songwriter gong, while Adele won two awards for best female artist and best track. Jessie J also won best video for Do It Like A Dude.

The sublime-if-faux-lipped Lana Del Rey will be picking up countless awards in the future, and, fittingly, was awarded the next big thing honour.

Here's the full list. What do you think? Yawnsome, or well-deserved?
