Eva Longoria Parker has filed for divorce from husband Tony Parker, the Associated Press reports. Earlier this week, the actress spokesman denied rumours of a split but yesterday Eva cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split on divorce papers filed in Los Angeles.
"It is with great sadness that after seven years together, Tony and I have decided to divorce, Eva announced on Twitter. We love each other deeply and pray for each other's happiness." Parkers Twitter featured an identical message.
The couple married in a lavish ceremony in Paris in 2007 but insiders have told People magazine the marriage broke down after Longoria found hundreds of text messages on her husbands phone. Sources claim the texts were from the wife of one of basketball star Parkers team mates.
"She is devastated, she wants us all to know that," Longorias friend Mario Lopez who claims the actress confided in him about the alleged affair revealed. "But she's strong."
