Girl crush alert - new Olsen sister on the block, Elizabeth, is wowing critics with her star turn in new movie Martha Marcy May Marlene. It's about to be screened at the London Film Festival, and she's been talking about family life while publicising it.
Mary-Kate and Ashley have been in the spotlight since before they could talk, but Lizzie is trying to convince us all that their life was completely normal.
Er… nice try.
While talking to Nylon, she said:
"I consider myself very lucky to have such a normal family. The weird thing is that everyone [in LA's] family was a part of this industry.
"Everyone is always like, 'What have you learned from your sisters?' But it didn't really have to do with my sisters at all.
"Like, my best friend's father [Rick Baker] is a makeup-artist with seven Oscars! Another one of my friends, her family created Days of Our Lives."
This doesn't make your family normal, Elizabeth…
Anyway, that aside, she's crediting her dad for pushing her to make her own money:
"I have to attribute the way I have always looked at [work] to my father, because he was a really good influence on us.
"It was always very important to him that his daughters be financially independent. He wanted us to know that we could take care of ourselves, because he never liked the idea of us needing a man."
