It seems like if you're a footballer, you're either on the receiving end of some X-rated photos from fans… or you're sending them out yourself… cough-Ashley Cole-cough.
Cristiano Ronaldo managed to make this little issue into a crisis this weekend, by mistaking the forward button for the delete button on an email.
A Dutch fan reportedly sent some saucy snaps along with a vow that she would be with him someday, Cristiano apparently didn't think they were worth saving, and so he decided to get rid.
Unfortunately, somehow he managed to forward them to everybody in his address book… including his supermodel fiancee Irina Shayk.
Footballers… not really that clever are they?
A source told The Mirror:
"Cristiano’s phone has been buzzing with calls and emails from bewildered pals in the past few days.
"They have all been ringing and messaging to ask what the hell the email is about. And of course they all want to know more about the girl in the pictures.
"He is embarrassed about the whole thing and is particularly mortified at passing the email on to Irina.
"But he has done nothing wrong and luckily Irina hasn’t confronted him about it."
I think that basically shows how threatened she felt by the girl in the photos…
