Cheryl Cole was announced as a judge on The X Factor USA just last week, and yesterday she started her new role at LA auditions. But… I have to ask - what on earth was she wearing?
I know, colour blocking is all the rage, but… orange, light blue and purple? With hair that had to have used up at least three cans of that hairspray she advertises? And trousers that gave her a camel toe? I just don't understand!
Nevertheless, she was full of smiles as she joined her fellow judges Simon Cowell, LA Reid and new addition Paula Abdul for the first round of auditions.
Meanwhile, Steve Jones is also across the pond, as he's been hired as co-host with Nicole Scherzinger!
The Hollywood Reporter says he was self-deprecating as he introduced himself to the crowd:
"You're probably wondering, who the hell is this douche? I just moved here two days ago."
Deadline reports that he was hired as co-presenter after Nicole vetoed Simon's choice of High School Musical's Corbin Bleu:
"Nicole walked in and saw Corbin and his baby face and asked, 'What are you, 15?' And then she walked out."
Sheesh, poor Corbin. Still, huge congrats to gorgeous Steve!
