Cheryl Cole for Dirty Dancing role?
We always imagined that Baby from Dirty Dancing was secretly a Geordie, who had a cheating footballer ex-husband stashed away somewhere.
Cheryl Cole's friend Derek Hough is starring in a remake of Dirty Dancing and has reportedly been pestering producers to get Cheryl Cole the role of Baby.
Derek's reported to be playing Johnny and has apparently sent producers a video of him dancing with Cheryl when she supported the Black Eyed Peas last year, in the hope that they'll think they'd make a great onscreen couple.
"Derek submitted a DVD of him dancing with Cheryl at her O2 show when she supported The Black Eyed Peas last year. He wanted producers to see their chemistry," a source told The Sun.
"He also put in a copy of Cheryl's video for he single Parachute, to show how good a dancer she is."
The singer has already reportedly landed a cameo in What To Expect When You're Expecting, so these rumours could be very true.
We can just imagine it now. "Way aye, man! I carried a watermelon."
