Chantelle Houghton: 'I'll be yummiest mummy'
Alex Reid and Chantelle Houghton have announced that they are expecting their first child just two and a half months after they told press that they were trying for a baby.
The former glamour model and Celebrity Big Brother contestant is 11 weeks pregnant, and the news comes just five weeks after Alex Reid proposed to her on an Irish chat show.
Chantelle told OK! magazine, "Oh my God! I'm pregnant! Let me through - I'm going to be the yummiest mummy there is.
"I'm milking it, trust me. I've told my friends and family, if I'm going through it, you're all going through it.
"I don't know exactly where the baby was conceived... I found out four weeks ago."
The couple announced that they were trying for a baby back in August after Chantelle revealed she had low fertility.
At the time, Houghton claimed doctors told her in-vitro ferilisation was her only hope of getting pregnant.
But, it appears that Chantelle became pregnant almost as soon as the couple began trying.
The pair were about to start IVF when Houghton did a pregnancy test from Boots.
"Alex and I have spent thousands on private fertility treatment. All the tests and consultations. I have all the drugs at home. It does make me question these doctors. But then again, maybe it really is a miracle."
