Cheryl Cole's shock US X Factor exit threw the country into a frenzy yesterday, with everyone going a bit mad with conspiracy theories, some thinking it's all a big publicity stunt like Louis Walsh leaving and coming back to the X Factor back in 2007.
Well, you know what they say: Celebs? They're just like us. And they're all talking about it too, whether we care about their opinions or not.
Designer Julien Macdonald told Lorraine Kelly that he reckons it's all been a publicity stunt:
"Well, I was speaking to Cheryl a few days ago, and when I spoke to her from America she was really happy, she was having the time of her life.
"So I think it's a bit of a media blah to get press for the X Factor."
Enter Simon's best pal - who oddly can't get through to him at the moment - Sinitta, who told OK!TV:
"That would be really mean and I don't think he would do that. He's been helping her a lot and she's been great for the show. They are so close. So close.
"Who said she's been axed? Has anyone heard Simon say she's been fired? All the reports that I've heard had said that she's doing really well on the show."
Meanwhile the gorgeous Russell Brand was utterly offended about the fact our Chezza has been kicked off the show. He spoke to Daybreak from the US, and had a little bit of advice for Americans:
"Our Cheryl? That cannae be right! Our Cheryl, kicked off X Factor? What, the American one? And I've come to this country in good faith and they've kicked Cheryl off, our Cheryl? Oh no! She's Britain's sweetheart.
"Is that what they don't understand - the accent? Just listen more, just listen very intently. All them things she's saying - that's English!"
With Simon Cowell remaining tight-lipped over the whole debacle, let's face it, everyone's as clueless as each other right now.
