Lively and Meester at odds
Gossip Girl stars Leighton Meester and Blake Lively.
Leighton Meester has fallen out with her Gossip Girl co-star Blake Lively, the National Enquirer claims. Insiders say the former friend’s quarrel began when Meester became envious of her co-star’s blossoming career. “They don’t even acknowledge each other when they’re not in a scene together,” a source claimed. “Leighton thinks Blake is an egomaniac who views her time on the TV set as slumming it. And Blake feels stifled. She’s just ignoring her costar because she knows bigger things are in store. Blake’s way over Gossip Girl. She’s counting the days till she’s free to do movies full-time.”
While Lively’s spokesman has stopped short of confirming a feud, he did admit the pair’s relationship is purely professional. “Blake and Leighton have never been the best of friends and never professed to be,” said the rep. “Blake goes to work, does her time and goes home.’
