Amy Winehouse: ‘I’ve been clean for three years’

Amy Winehouse has promised she no longer uses drugs and said the last time she did was almost three years ago, Glamour magazine reports. Amy has suffered several medical scares in the past and has admitted the experience has forced her to get healthy.
While there is still no confirmed date for Amy’s new album, she played her first public gig since 2008 earlier this week. The Rehab played six songs, including some new material, at the Apocalypstick club night at Camden’s Hawley Arms pub.
“Amy just whispered to me, 'I know I'm not on the line up but do you mind if I play?'" Izzy Lawrence, who runs the night, told BBC 6 Music. "Obviously I wasn't going to say no and she got up and played and it was amazing. It [Amy’s new songs] sounds great - it's quite upbeat, quite funky, very soulful. I think this is going to be massive. If those songs are going to be on the new album, it's going to be huge."
