Alex Reid to run for local council?!

I've thought that Alex Reid needs to get a proper job for a long time now - practically since he showed his face on TV - and now he looks like he might.
Yesterday he spent the day at the House of Commons, attended Prime Minister's Questions, and had a lunch meeting with two local MPs.
First Katie Price is on Newsnight, then Peter Andre's at Oxford University, and now Alex Reid is in the House of Commons? I ask, again, what is going on?!
With a baby on the way, I suppose schools and school dinners are on his mind, and he reckons that he'll do better than Jamie Oliver's groundbreaking campaign, tweeting:
"Move over Jamie Oliver, let's get school dinners in this country sorted.
"Not that Jamie's not a top guy with a top idea!"
And later, when he was told he should for local council, he retweeted the user and then replied:
"Yeah, why not!"
I have a massive list of reasons, Alex… Practically a novel, in fact.
