Aw, it's always so much nicer to praise our celebs than bash them - take Sandra Bullock, for instance… The actress was mega-generous following the Haiti earthquake in 2010 - and now, just over a year later, she's dug deep again, giving the Japan relief fund $1 million (£667,000) following country's devastating natural disaster last week. Nice one, Sandy!
Considering almost 500,000 people are homeless, relief aid is absolutely vital - and the Oscar winner isn't the only celeb to have contributed a share of her wealth; Demi Lovato reportedly made similar-sized donation to charity earlier this week, while other celebs have used social media to encourage fans to support the Red Cross, which has so far received $2.6 million in text message donations.
According to reports, singer/songwriter Jack Johnson, who was in Japan when the earthquake hit, has also made a contribution, while Clint Eastwood, Katy Perry, Charlie Sheen and Lady Gaga are among the celebrities raising money from the sale of DVDs, gig tickets, bracelets and merchandise.
