50 Cent has claimed his recent tweet, that seemed to suggest that all gay men should kill themselves, was “misunderstood”. Last week, 50 caused controversy when he posted a message on Twitter saying: “If you (are) a man and your over 25 and you don't eat p***y just kill yourself damn it. The world will be a better place. (Sic)"

However, following an outcry over the message, 50 insisted he wasn’t making an anti-gay statement. "I have nothing against people who choose an alternative lifestyle,” he tweeted. “In fact I've publicly stated my mum loved women."

Last month, the rapper was forced to delete a post by the Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation. Following a spat with Perez Hilton, 50 had posted a picture of two men fleeing a screaming mob with the caption: “Perez Hilton calld [sic] me douchebag so I had my homie shoot up a gay wedding. wasnt his but still made me feel better."

Well, 50 Cent seems charming doesn’t he?!
