Kate Winslet - Winner! (Again)

Last night's Golden Globe Awards had all of Hollywood on tenterhooks as "dangerous" Ricky Gervais hosted the ceremony yet again… and really wasn't that dangerous at all.

Disappointing, Gervais.

The entertaining rivalry between Madonna and Elton John stepped up a notch as she won Best Original Song for W.E… not long after Elton said she had "no f***ing chance of winning" an award on the red carpet.

Now now, aren't you two old enough to know better?

Kate Winslet, the gorgeous Idris Elba and the cast of Downton Abbey all won in the TV categories, so there were some very happy Brits among the Hollywood regulars.

And, of course, it gave Kate a chance to give one of her infamous "I can't believe I've won… AGAIN" speeches.

George Clooney's The Descendants won big and beat Brad Pitt-starrer Moneyball to Best Drama, and silent film The Artist won three awards at the ceremony.
