Joan Rivers recently came under fire for some comments she made about Adele on the David Letterman show in the US but, being Joan Rivers, she isn't sorry.
Joan asked the host, David: 'What's her song? Rolling in the deep-fried chicken?'
The Fashion Police star then went on to tell David Letterman about how she had met Adele at an awards ceremony.
"She sang live. She was nervous. She kept saying 'My throat. My throat. I don't know if I can swallow.' I said 'oh yeah you can swallow.'"
David Letterman didn't seem to enjoy the joke so Joan quipped: "She's a chubby lady who is is very, very rich. She should calm down... or lose weight."
Speaking to the Huffington Post afterwards, the 79-year-old comedienne added more fuel to the fire: "They made me apologise. She wanted an apology. I took an ad out on her ass. I said 'you are not fat' and then I had room, you know, for a lot of other ads.
"Adele is beautiful and successful and worth $100m. I'm just saying she's fat. Let's face reality, she's fat."
