Mila Kunis is admitted she enjoyed taking on an "ugly duckling" role in her new film, Oz The Great and Powerful.
The sexy actress plays Theodora, an innocent witch who falls for magician Oscar Diggs (James Franco) in the prequel to Wizard of Oz.
But when poor Theodora gets her heart broken she is transformed into a hideous witch.
Asked how it felt to play an ugly duckling for a change at the film press conference, Mila answered, "It was actually really great.
"It was incredibly freeing and it was the first time in my life where putting on a costume really did change the way that I viewed the character and embodied the character.
"And so much of it had to do with the contact lenses! They were hand painted and the pupils didn't dilate so my vision was very narrow. I went with the theory if i can't see you, you can't see me thus i can do whatever I want!
"And so it kind of allowed me to explore and have fun and not really worry myself with what people thought. It's great."
We think you can agree it's hard to think of Mila as anything other than stunning so we can't wait to see her transformation in the film.
Oz The Great and Powerful is released in UK cinemas on 8 March 2013.
