The actor and his wife have welcomed their third child, which may or may not be a girl...

Matthew McConaughey and wife Camila Alves have added to their brood with their third child, thought to be a girl.

Rumours are that the Magic Mike star's wife gave birth to a baby girl in Austin, Texas, although nothing has been confirmed yet from the actor's camp.

The latest addition will join four year old Levi, and two year old sister Vida.

The couple married at their home in Texas back in June this year.

McConaughey is currently filming The Dallas Buyers Club in New Orleans, but is thought to have been at his wife's side for the birth.

The actor announced that his wife was pregnant on Twitter, so all eyes remained glued to his account for more details.

Whether it's a boy or girl, congratulations are in order!
