Having already been backed by Radio 1's Fearne Cotton, Nick Grimshaw and Zane Lowe, Lucy Rose is making serious waves in the music industry.
After finding fame on YouTube and signing a major label deal this summer, the Warwickshire-born singer is currently on tour promoting her debut album Like I Used To. Expect sweet folk-pop vocals cast over a blend of acoustic indie guitars and precision handclaps.
We caught up with Lucy before her performance at the UK store launch party for new footwear and accessories brand, Call It Spring. Read the 60-second interview below…
How would you describe your sound for new ears?
For all those new ears out there, it's cinematic, thought provoking, casual funk
And what about your style, would you say you're pretty fashion conscious?
Erm, nah. I'm really not a very fashionable person. My Mum is always telling me so.
Who's your biggest style icon?
Cilla Black
Erm okay. So what's on your iPod right now?
Ajimal, Feist, Maccabees, always Neil Young!
And finally, may we have a little peek inside your Handbag?
I don't have a handbag, but I like my pink rucksack. In there there's steamer, Vocalzones throat lozenges, keys, my Coventry Football Club hat, and always a good book.
What about the strangest thing in your bag right now?
Is it strange that I don't have a bag with me at all? And I honestly don't have a handbag. Just got my guitar.
Right, let's watch Lucy do her thing in video for single Lines...
