Celebrity weddings
This summer looks set to be jam-packed with sunny celebrity weddings, with supermodel Kate Moss marrying boyfriend Jamie Hince on 2 July in Oxfordshire and Lily Allen marrying boyfriend Sam Cooper on 11 June. In celebration, we reveal the celebs who made sure their wedding days hit the headlines...

Liz Hurley and Arun Nayar
Hurley and her Indian tycoon hubby win the prize for being the most frivolous with their money. First off was a £2million bash for 247 people at a 15th century castle in Gloucestershire. Guests, including Donatella Versace and Elle Macpherson, were treated to a five-course Henry VIII-themed meal served by liveried footmen. And it was all rounded off with a Bollywood movie starring the happy couple. Four make-up artists and three hairdressers were on hand to make sure the 41-year-old model looked perfect on her big day. Then it was off to a 548-year-old palace in Rajasthan for a three-day Hindu celebration!

Jordan and Peter Andre
Taste and temperance were thrown out of the window at this showbiz bash. Jordan pitched up in a Cinderella-style carriage, sporting a Barbie pink gown covered in thousands of Swarovski crystals and a foot high crown. Among the 300 guests knocking back pink champagne were the likes of Gazza, Big Brother\'s Orlaith and Vanessa Feltz. After walking down the aisle to the warblings of Whitney Houston, Jordan\'s four bridesmaids had to help her sit down in her enormous dress. The couple rounded off the evening in the bridal suite scoffing crisp sandwiches - class!

Drew Barrymore
Nobody told Drew that you\'re not supposed to drink before the wedding. The former child star got a little carried away on cocktails on a visit to her local bar in 1994. Before she had a chance to fall off her stool, she\'d agreed to marry Jeremy Thomas, the Welsh bartender, with the couple tying the knot that very night. Unsurprisingly, the marriage only lasted five weeks - still that\'s longer than Britney Spears\' first marriage!

Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock
This celebrity wedding certainly befitted an ex \'Baywatch\' babe. She wore a white bikini, he wore a baseball cap and it all took place on a boat in St Tropez. \'It was a big mistake but I was in St Tropez - I would have married the fisherman on the corner!\' Pammy later told one radio show - nice. But the nuptials weren\'t nearly as nutty as the wedding she held for her dogs a year earlier - that beach-side ceremony was gatecrashed by none other than Sacha Baron Cohen\'s alter ego Borat. He pitched up astride an inflatable turtle and rugby-tackled poor Pammy. Still, what did she expect would happen at a wedding ceremony for dogs?!

Britney Spears and Kevin Federline
She may be loaded but the singing star Britney was counting every penny at her celebrity wedding to dancer Keving Federline. The wedding party wore tracksuits labelled \'pimps\' and \'maids\' and guests were treated to a pay bar. It was her second wedding in nine months. Of course, we all know how this doomed marriage turned out!
Renee Zellweger,celebrity love life,hollywood,celebrity divorce,celebrity wedding
Renee Zellweger and Kenny Chesney
She is an A-list actress, he\'s a country crooner - it was the prequel to Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban. She wore a stunning Carolina Herrera gown to their quickie 15-minute beachside wedding, and he wore a Stetson. The couple kept their romance a secret until a week before the wedding, but something was amiss - four months later the marriage was annulled on grounds of fraud.

When your maid of honour at a celebrity wedding is Liz Taylor and the best man is Michael Jackson, you know there\'s going to be more plastic on display than in a doll factory. But for once Jackson had to battle the groom for the strangest-looking face award. The guests were scanned by metal detectors and the best man was 15 minutes late. But the hosts made up for the madness by treating their star pals to a 60-piece orchestra and entertainment from Tony Bennett and Dionne Warwick. Unfortunately they also expected their guests to splash the cash - their wedding list included soup tureens costing £2,800

Tom Cruise Katie Holmes wedding
The paparazzi where in heaven when Tom Cruise took his third trip down the aisle at Odescalchi castle, near Rome in Italy. With the ceremony revolving around Scientology things were bound to get a little weird. As part of his vows, Cruise supposedly promised to provide lucky Katie with \'a pan, a comb, perhaps a cat\'. And rumours were rife that statuesque Katie had to stand in a hole for her wedding pics so that she didn\'t tower over her diminutive hubby!

Cheryl Tweedy and Ashley Cole
Even the guests were left guessing about the venue when Girl\'s Aloud singer Cheryl married footballer Ashley Cole. Having previously booked Highclere Castle for their big day they secretly transferred the event to Wrotham Park. Cheryl continued the camera-shy theme by taking a turn in a horse drawn carriage with blacked-out windows. With everyone ordered to wear white, you\'d think Ashley would have had trouble spotting his bride. But his future missus added a bit of extra sparkle with a £100,000 frock covered in pearls and Swarovski crystals. Of course, since then Ashley\'s been caught in bed with another woman, which kind of takes the romance away from it all!

Victoria and David Beckham
These celebrity nuptials were dubbed \'The Royal Wedding\' when Victoria Adams and David Beckham married in 1999. Posh and Becks certainly took the title to heart - no traditional seating and flower arrangements for this pair. They created their own coat of arms and matching thrones for the celebrations. And fashionista Victoria failed to disappoint in a £60,000 frock designed by Vera Wang. They married at an Irish medieval castle but it wasn\'t all fairtytale magic: each of the 236 guests (including the couple\'s son Brooklyn) were security tagged.

Wayne Rooney and Coleen McLoughlin
We all knew that Coleen ‘I want to be the next Victoria Beckham\' McLoughlin wasn\'t going to settle for anything less than a six-star wedding, so it was no surprise when the media reported that her nuptials to footballer Wayne Rooney were going to cost in the region of £5m. Of course, in true C-list celebrity style, the wedding was paid for by a glossy magazine deal. So what did they get for the cash? Quite a lot actually. The couple married in Porta Fina, Italy and Wayne and Coleen forked out £400,000 to have Westlife play at the wedding. The bride toodled up the aisle in a £130,000 Marchesa dress and each guest was be given a box with a butterfly in it to release during the ceremony.
