Incredibly, action star Mel Gibson had repaired his reputation following his 2006 arrest. After some desperate public grovelling people had forgiven him for being caught drunk driving around Malibu and launching into a furious anti-Semitic tirade at the officers where he claimed, "Jews are to blame for every war in the world" and referred to a female officer as "Sugar Tits."
No amount of ‘sorrys\' will get Gibson off the hook this time though. Police have confirmed they are investigating claims the action star assaulted his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorevia, knocking out two of her teeth, while she was holding their eight-month-old daughter. Meanwhile, a tape of a conversation, apparently of a phone call between Gibson and Oksana, was released online where the action star is heard telling his ex she deserved to be "raped by a pack of n*****s", that he had punched her because she "f**king deserved it" and threatened to kill her.
A studio boss reacted to claims but saying, "I wouldn\'t make a movie with Mel Gibson if he were the last actor on the planet." Lethal weapon indeed.

So the producers of the fourth, Terminator Salvation, needed a top rank, bankable star to guide the franchise through a new chapter. They turned to Dark Knight star Christian Bale who\'d just seen the Batman film break opening weekend box office records. It was a move the movie\'s director of photography rued after he was verbally abused and threatened by the actor during filming after accidentally walking across set. "I want you off the f**king set, you prick," Bale was heard screaming in a leaked tape of the incident. "No, don\'t just be sorry. Think for one f**king second. What the f**k are you doing?"
A wave of bad press followed and though Bale apologised unreservedly for the incident, Termintor Salvation flopped.

Tour attendances are down, lucrative sponsorship deals have been canned, the comeback album underperformed and his criminal record caused him to be banned from entering the UK recently forcing the cancellation of his European tour. While last month, his performance at the BET Awards was slated and accused of being cynical attempt to win back public after he wept openly during a tribute to Michael Jackson. Couldn\'t have happened to a nicer guy.
