It’s been suggested that Phil Spector will sell his home to to fund an appeal after receiving a 19-year sentence for the murder of actress Lana Clarkson. The legendary music producer is reportedly looking to sell his £700,000 castle, which he bought in 1998, and his music memorabilia, much of which came from people he worked with during his career, to raise the cash. When Spector bought the castle he told Esquire magazine, “I’ve brought myself a beautiful and enchanting castle in a hick town.” The hilltop home’s surrounding walls bear a sign that reads “Phil Spector’s Pyrenees Castle.”

The pad, which came complete with a pool, spa, arbor and three garages, was being offered for sale partially furnished and decorated. Britney had to flee the home twice last year to be hospitalised at the UCLA Medical Center.
