That was until Madonna, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera got cosy at the MTV awards in 2003. Pop Princesses Britney and Christina headed on stage donned in bridal dresses belting out Like A Virgin, only for Madge to come out the top of a massive wedding cake and break into song before snogging Britney and Christina (Although admittedly Christina\'s snog didn\'t really get a look-in). Cue unrest across America as civilians went up-in-arms about the whole debacle, causing headlines across the world, and one of the most famous moments in award show history.

Having beaten off tough competition from the likes of Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds, Taylors Swift and Lautner and Zoe Saldana and Sam Worthington, Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson won the Best Kiss title for the second year running at this year\'s MTV Movie Awards.
In 2009, the couple treated the audience to a kiss tease, but after defending their crown at this year\'s awards they celebrated with a full on snog. "So I guess the thing to do is we\'re supposed to kiss each other," said Kristen "To be perfectly honest with you, it takes a lot of smoke and mirrors to make us look good kissing and we don\'t want to let you guys down. We\'ll give it a shot." The pair then showed off their comedic chops by adding in a comedy head bump before locking lips.

Sandra Bullock shocked fans by kissing Scarlett Johansson, who was at the MTV Awards in the place of her husband, and Bullock\'s co-star in the Proposal, Ryan Reynolds, couldn\'t make it. "This is just really uncomfortable, why are you here?" joked Sandra on stage. "I\'m here because Ryan couldn\'t be here," came Johansson\'s reply. "And I think you two should have won best kiss." Johansson edged towards Sandra as she said the kiss looked "sweet" and "really soft" before puckering up with the Oscar-winning actress. Causing many a headline the next day.
