There are some men you just like to stare at and Channing Tatum is one such man. He\'s a huge guy, so perfect for protecting you from any unwanted attention/spiders. His beautiful face and his hair are always groomed to perfection. But more importantly, he\'s on our ‘what\'s hot\' radar, because he\'s been starring in some great movies recently. His most recent, Dear John, which is out in cinemas 14 April, knocked 3D blockbuster Avatar off of the top spot in America last year, no mean feat. Channing\'s also about to appear in Son Of No One opposite Katie Holmes. So his star\'s about to get even bigger. Good news for us, because it means we\'ll be seeing a lot more of him. Hooray!

We’ve had the good luck to meet Channing Tatum twice now. Once, a year ago when he was promoting his film Fighting (which, by the way, you should watch if not just for the gratuitous shots of Channing sans shirt) where he admitted to us the camera crew in the room had been telling him to say ‘ta’ if he wanted to fit in in London. We told him that they guys were having him on in the hope he’d think we were the kind of girl he could to take home to meet his mum! The second time we met ‘Chan’, as he likes us to call him, was a week ago, when we interviewed him for the film Dear John. Where we were a little upset that we had to share the same room with Amanda Seyfried, only because she’s so pretty she stole his attention while we were working our magic.

While he\'s known for his action roles after starring in GI Joe: The Rise Of The Cobra, Channing has admitted he likes filming romantic roles. "There\'s something absolutely exhilarating and, I don\'t want to call it difficult because it\'s not really difficult when you do it right," Channing told the Press Association, before adding "Just sitting on the beach with someone and having a real conversation, there\'s something really exhilarating about that, and just opening up being really honest about how you\'d be feeling at that age." Awwwww.

Channing was born in April 1980, in a small town called Cullman, just outside of Birmingham in Alabama. When he was growing up he was always getting himself into trouble because he had so much energy. So his parents enrolled him in lots of sports and he played baseball and football to keep himself out of trouble. When he left college the soon-to-be actor worked as a construction worker, mortgage broker and an ‘exotic dancer\' working under the name Chan Crawford. His big break came when he was spotted by a model scout on the street in Miami, which led to modelling jobs for the likes of Abercrombie & Fitch, Gap and Emporio Armani.
Channing was then cast in the video for Ricky Martin’s song She Bangs. His break into movies came in 2006, when Step Up was released and Channing secured himself on every girl’s list of film crushes.
Since then he’s appeared in Fighting (2009), Public Enemies (2009) with Johnny Depp, G.I.Joe: The Rise Of The Cobra (2009) with Sienna Miller, and he’s currently filming Son of No One which he’ll star in with Katie Holmes.

Unfortunately, ladies, Channing Tatum is off the market (and if he weren\'t you\'d need to form an orderly queue behind us). He\'s married to Jenna Dewan, who he met on the set of Step Up, in 2006. They got hitched on the grounds of the Church Estates Vineyards in Malibu, California in July 2009.
