As if we’d have a hard time remembering Robert Pattinson. The actor has stepped away from the role of Edward Cullen for his new film Remember Me, which he stars in opposite Emilie de Ravin and Pierce Brosnan, and proves he’s still hot minus the Twilight factor. In fact, although we see the appeal in Edward Cullen – we’ve got to admit we didn’t always understand the hype, we were much more interested in RPatz in Remember Me. Hello broody! When we walked past him at the film’s premiere on Wednesday night, something happened that never does when we meet celebrities. Our knees actually wobbled! That’s the Pattinson effect.

Robert Thomas Pattinson was born in London on 13 May 1986. Growing up he was a big sportsman, playing everything from football to athletics, skiing and snowboarding. At 15, Robert started doing amateur plays, and got hooked on acting. He joined the Barnes Theatre Club and took stage roles in Macbeth, Anything Goes and Tess of the D’Urbevilles.

Surprisingly enough, Robert Pattinson hasn’t been working in film all that long. His first major film was a bit-part in Vanity Fair (2004), alongside Reese Witherspoon. He then worked on Rings of the Nibelungs (TV 2004) before being cast as the Hogwarts school hunk Cedric Diggory opposite Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. 2008 saw the release of Twilight, and Robert hasn’t looked back since.
