Jon first broke into modelling after a friend persuaded him to go to Barcelona and have a go at the fashion world. The 24 year-old model made his debut in the 2004 Emporio Armarni and John Galliano shows in Milan and Paris. He also became the face of Roberto Cavalli’s campaign Just Cavalli shot by Ellen Bon Umbert for the spring collection. This move jump-started his career. Jon’s runway credentials include walking for Botegga Veneta, Dolce & Gabanna, Salvatore Ferramago, Giorgio Armani, John Galliano and Chanel.

Jon is now appearing in Tom Ford’s A Single Man opposite Colin Firth and Nicolas Hoult. Although only given a few minutes of screen time, he was the first thing on our lips when it came to dissecting the film. We just wish we meant that literally.

Having recently split from Jesus Luz, Madonna reportedly set her sights on Jon Kortajarena at the New York premiere for A Single Man. Sources reported that Madonna flirted “outrageously” with Jon before inviting him to dinner. “Jon looked slightly uncomfortable with the attention but was, nonetheless, flattered. She has made some enquiries about him and has found out a bit more about some of his future modelling gigs in a bid to use her influence to his advantage. She is going to invite him to some social events in New York,” a source told Daily Mail.
