Jake first came to the public\'s attention in his startling role as the tormented teenager Donnie Darko (2001). Next he played Jennifer Aniston\'s bit on the side in The Good Girl (2002) before becoming a Hollywood leading man in The Day After Tomorrow (2004). However, he\'s probably best known for helping, along with co-star Heath Ledger and director Ang Lee, to break boundaries playing one half of a gay love affair in Brokeback Mountain (2005) things took a darker turn when Jake starred in Zodiac (2007). He was last seen in Brothers opposite Natalie Portman and good friend Tobey Maguire.
