lloyd cole
The 44-year-old singer and songwriter was best known for being in Lloyd Cole and the Commotions from the mid to late 80s. Last year, to mark the 20th anniversary of the release of their critically-acclaimed debut album, Rattlesnakes, Lloyd Cole and the Commotions reformed to perform a one-off, sell-out tour in the UK and Ireland. Cole is currently working on another solo album and will be playing a few accoustic sets across England next month

The 47-year-old singer and lyricist for Duran Duran started out as an actor, but the quick success of the band meant he never went back (save for a few choice videos). The band went through a bit of a hiatus in the mid-90s, when only Le Bon and keyboardist Nick Rhodes were left, but they reformed with the original line-up in 2001 and a year ago released Astronaut. Le Bon is currently working on his novel, titled Hungry Like Virginia Woolf, and last year Dutch trance DJ Ferry Corsten released a track with vocals by Simon Le Bon called Fire

Spandau Ballet were initially inspired by a mixture of funk and synthpop, and they eventually mellowed into a mainstream pop act. Gary Kemp, now 46, was the group\'s guitarist and songwriter. They split up in 1989 and Gary went on to do some acting, as well as releasing a solo album, Little Bruises, in 1996. In the 1990s three of the band launched a failed court case against Gary Kemp for a share of royalties. The three non-Kemp members toured as a trio called \'Hadley, Keeble and Norman, ex-Spandau Ballet\', as Gary owned the rights to the name of Spandau Ballet
