If you haven’t already seen this moon faced vision gracing your screens in The Mighty Boosh, you’ve clearly been watching the wrong channel. He’s funny, quirky and wears the kind of clothes that you haven’t seen since you had a dressing up box.
Verdict: Date
His penchant for silver spandex hot pants and platform heels will upstage you on too many dance floors for a long term dalliance. But he hangs out at the coolest drinking holes in Camden and would guarantee you a more surreal Saturday night on the town.

He may have found fame and fortune but this star hasn’t let his celeb status go to his head. Despite proving a hit in films like Atonement and The Last King of Scotland, he still lives in a small flat in London, drives a Nissan Micra and can even be found shopping in Budgens.

The fact that he’s already married to his former Shameless co-star Anne-Marie Duff won’t put us off wanting to walk up the aisle with this down to earth darling of the big screen. He’s pint sized at only 5ft 7’’ but those piercing blue eyes and lilting Scottish accent would brighten up any trip to Tesco (even Mr McAvoy’s pushing it with Budgens).

It doesn’t matter how weird he is to watch on the big screen or if you don’t usually go for those sort of carved in granite good looks - everyone desires Mr Depp.

OK, even Kate and Winona weren’t good enough to win his heart (he changed his Winona Forever tattoo to Wino Forever) but every girl likes a challenge. And like any potential long term love interest, he’s kind to small children and animals. He put everything on hold to rush to his daughter’s (with long term love Vanessa Paradis) bedside when she fell ill and he adopted his one-eyed horse co-star from the film Sleepy Hollow after it was threatened with the glue factory. Oh, and he won’t bore you with hours down the gym perfecting his Hollywood hunk good looks. According to Johnny he wants “to be an old man with a beer belly sitting on a porch, looking at a lake or something.”

His self-confessed voracious appetite for the ladies may make him more one night stand than marriage material. And all that back combing of his big hair would take up too much mirror time for anything long term.

What’s not to like about a man who keeps getting better with age, has a sprawling Italian villa and will whisk you away on wild weekends on the back of his motorbike. Oh and he’s also a multi-millionaire movie star with a penchant for pot-bellied pigs. Who needs conventional pets when you have Clooney?

The fact that he’s vowed never to marry again and has fobbed off Renee and Lisa Snowdon means he may be in too much of a muddle for matrimony. But we’d be happy with just 5 minutes stuck in a lift with this star, even if Celine Dion was belting out a ballad in the background.

And like the perfect provider he can hunt, fish and more importantly, make cheese (well at the very least he can hire someone who knows how to do it). And you’d mix with pop royalty in your Hunters.
