Christina Aguilera and Jordan Bratman

After five years of marriage, Christina Aguilera filed for divorce from husband and father of her son, Max, music executive Jordan Bateman on 15 October 2010.

The couple had been living a part for a number of months, but at the time Christina said that the couple hadn’t yet come to a decision about their future together.

The day before the divorce was announced, People magazine ran an interview with Christina, where she admitted that they had been living apart for several months. “Although Jordan and I are separated, our commitment to our son Max is as strong as ever,” Christina said.
