Surprisingly, the decision apparently came from Peter, 36 after one too many explosive rows and pictures emerged of Jordan, 30 cuddling up to a mystery man who later turned out to be gay. From hiring ex topless models in his cabinet to calling adult chat lines for impromptu pre-election polls, Italian prime minister Silvio Berlusconi is certainly not your average prime minister and his long suffering wife, Veronica Lario has finally had enough. The straw that broke the camel\'s back was when Berlusconi, 72, went to an 18-year-old woman\'s birthday party and presented her with a gold and diamond necklace. Lario, 52, claims that he never attended any of their own daughter\'s 18th  birthday parties. Berlusconi\'s maintains he has done nothing wrong and has demanded a public apology from his wife. Cameron Diaz and model Paul Sculfor parted ways after one year together in May amid claims that the pair just couldn\'t find the time to be together. Apparently Paul was homesick for the UK and Cameron couldn\'t bear to leave her life in LA which, not surprisingly, resulted in the romance between the pair dying. The news became official when Cameron was spotted in the Chateau Marmont hotel in LA partying with friends. We have to admit we were shocked that this relationship lasted as long as it did what with countless public feuds and vases being lobbed out of windows, it\'s a wonder how both parties made it out unscathed. After a year together though SamRo split in April following allegations that DJ Sam cheated on Lindsay. Never one to shy away from the spotlight, Lindsay tweeted, ‘I was right all along. Cheat.\' ‘Being cheated on does wonders to you. I\'m doing this publicly because u&ur friends call People mag. So you win, you broke my heart. Now go away. Agyness Deyn and Albert Hammond Jr

No one was more shocked than us when it emerged that the world\'s most fashionable couple, Strokes player Albert Hammond Jr and supermodel Agyness Deyn split in March. The couple met in 2008 at the American NME Awards and spent the next 10 months glued at the hip, cycling, kissing and cuddling all over New York and, although they never confirmed it, the pair apparently got engaged a few months into their relationship with Albert gushing, "When I met Agyness it came from such an innocent, truthful place, and the way I feel about her is so honest. I respect and love her so much. I\'ve found someone that I want to be with and have a family with." The relationship is said to have gone downhill after the pair were involved in US Vogue\'s Valentine-themed fashion shoot together. Despite being unceremoniously dumped by John Mayer in August, Jennifer Aniston surprised us all by getting back together with him for a few more red carpet snaps before the couple split for good in March. Things began to look a little rocky when Jen, spoke openly about her feelings in the Mail On Sunday\'s, You magazine saying, "Whoever said that every relationship has to last forever? That\'s hoping for too much." Perhaps Jen, 40, just couldn\'t bring herself to forgive John, 32, after he stated that the pair "lacked chemistry" at an impromptu press conference outside his home following their first split. After five years in the spotlight Chelsey Davy and Prince Harry decided to part ways in January. Chelsey, 23 who graduates from Leeds university this summer, is reportedly homesick for her home country in Africa while Prince Harry, 24, seems to be more committed to army life than ever. Chelsey bounced back from the break-up stepping out in a series of look-at-how-good-I-look outfits while Harry hit the town and enjoyed the new gathering flock of royal wannabe fashionistas.

Actor and director Sean Penn filed for divorce from his wife of 11 years, Robin Wright Penn at the beginning of the year and has since been linked with a string of women including Helena Christensen, Natalie Portman and Sienna Miller. Two-time Oscar winner Sean, 47 and actress Robin Wright, 41 had previously split in 2008 before reconciling in April the same year but that didn\'t stop Sean from hitting the town and getting snapped with a variety of younger women. When he then neglected to thank his wife during his acceptance speak for his performance in Milk, Robin Wright is said to have had enough and the pair parted ways shortly after. After more than a year of dating and around the same time her single I Kissed A Girl hit the No 1 spot, Katy Perry put an end to her relationship with Gym Class Heroes singer Travis McCoy. Travis expressed his displeasure at her decision by heading straight to his friendsorenemies.com blog where he posted lyrics from Main Sources breakup song Looking At The Front Door and declaring, "My Laptop is my new b -.
