Aaliyah
Famous for: R&B singer Aaliyah was just reaching the height of her career before she died. Missy Elliot’s prodigy, the singer was best known for her hits Try Again and Rock The Boat, and had just finished filming a role in the Queen of the Damned.
Died aged: 22
Aaliyah died in 2001, after just finishing filming a new music video. The plane she was travelling in burst into flames shortly after take off. Six on board, including the singer, died instantly.
